My love you’ve driven me away once more
I know that you just cannot understand
Each time I feel your presence near I cringe
For love is just too hard for me to grasp
Though you are still as dear to me as life
That’s just what made me turn my back to you
It hurts me so each time I think of love
I yearn for it, and yet, I feel repulsed
By that which claims my heart forever more
