My son was driving the truck that wouldn't pass smog, so had Bogus plates. He gets stopped for being "Stupid" had a drug pipe on him, Got truck towed to impound yard. Cost to get truck out? $750. Value of Truck? $500
Got a $500 lil '95 Mazda. New brakes, new tires, oil, tuneup, and various other little things. Took it across the country to my room mates Grandma's 100 birthday. What do you get someone turning 100? You show up. It was a great trip, only got stopped once in Oaklahoma... License plate light was out. Sheesh.
After a month and 5500 miles made it back home to discover rif-raff charity case had wasted 80% of the stuff on my computer, and every bit of food consumed. Not even one roll of TP left. Damm, seems no good deed goes un-punished. I'm ok with that anyway as I do believe one should help those who need when you can. Even if the help goes un-appreciated. It's still the right thing to do.
So, now paid off the car, got it running and on the way to the DMV get a ticket cuz I put my old handicap plate on the car. ( In Nevada the plates stay with the person, not the car).
So Got a ticket for "Fictisous plate" (Ticket cost $187 even though it was corrected an hour after the ticket.) then lucky me, one week later get into an accident as this damm truck runs a light and takes off the front of the car and my radiator now looks like a V.
A month later still not got a mechanic to come fix it. Hope today that gets fixed enough to drive it. All it needs to drive is a new radiator to be able to drive it to a shop. So wish me luck.
Maybe someone has a suggestion as to what i'm doing wrong?
Well there goes 2009.... the plan? move out of this damm apt and Las Vegas and into an RV, pull the car and go chase the sunshine. Beware! Never know when I might be in your neighborhood looking for a place to park for a few days.
I will have BBQ handy and willing to cook up and offer some of my special "Lar's Mex Mix".
