| We should and will always remember the tragedy that befell our country on Sept 11, 2001. We focus a lot on the World Trade Centers, rightfully so as this was the scene of the largest loss of life from any single attack in U.S. history. But, what about the Pentagon, and Flight 93. Now don't get me wrong or say I'm an a**hole or anything but I think the media is cashing in way to much on this heinous act. Where are all the memorial television shows/ specials about Vietnam (47,424 battle deaths), Korea (33,741 battle deaths), The Gulf War (529 battle deaths), etc... Where is the media coverage concerning our friends and families currently serving in Iraq and other countries fighting the war on terror that we haven't heard from in weeks or months. I'm not saying boycott the media or don't watch anything regarding the events of that fateful day. I think everyone should watch. Hell, I'll watch whatever I come across and I'll cry and wonder why just like everyone else. I'm not asking for any one to repost this or comment on this or anything else. If you do thank you, if you don't thank you just the same for reading it. This is just my opinion nothing more. I know some of you will think I'm a jerk and some of you will praise this, but please just don't ever forget. Make sure you tell your children and your children's children about it. Celebrate in memorial don't mourn their loss. Every one of the lives lost should be remembered as heroes and they will be as long as we keep their memory alive. After all, those who died on Sept 11, 2001 will never truly be gone if we keep them in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts. |
