Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in
My name, there am I in the midst of them.”
One day, the secret service visited a church to check it out for the President of the United States.
For some reason the President decided not to come, but the news was already out around town.
Soon people were calling the church to find out if anyone could come that Sunday.
A lady called to say that she wasn’t a member, but she wanted to see the President.
She asked the pastor, “Is it true that the President of the United States is going to be in your services on Sunday?”
The preacher said, “No madam, he will not be here, but the King of kings will, and that ought to be good enough for you.”
Jesus meets with His people, and He doesn’t care about the credentials of the guest list. He is in their midst.
What credentials do you bring to the table when you meet with God?
Have you ever read of Paul’s credentials in Philippians 3:4-6?
What was his response in verses 7-14?
What should be yours?
