So I was reading a friend's blog....she just broke up with a guy she was dating on the net that she lost interest in.
ok, fine, those things happen...... you think ur dating someone cool and someone else comes along that blows ur mind...... or the person you thought was cool got a lil coocoo on ya. IT HAPPENS!
Needless to say, the guy poured his heart out without meeting her so when she dropped him on his feet, he acted like he got dropped on his head.
as follows is my advice to him but it might as well apply to everyone...... so here goes.
"let me clue you in on reality , bud.......... if your not there, in real life, really seeing this person in the flesh....... its only a hope and a dream. Even then people break up for whatever reason.
Trust me , I've been burned enough by my own hopes and dreams to learn that lesson. To this day I refuse to blame anyone else, despite flirting and my own hopes for something to happen, it didnt happen, most often for a good reason too.
Now put your ego to the side, and get over her. go play a video game, find a constructive way to vent. Next time you get in an internet relationship follow the #1 rule....... shit aint real til its real.
Now that doesnt mean you shouldnt be loyal and faithful if those are your intentions down the line for it to be real...... but until ur there..... it just aint love..... its lust.
If you don't understand what I've just said or want to accept it, be prepared for a world of hurt down the road...... cuz its gonna happen again and again and again til u do learn that lesson."
We all need to check our egos at the door and realize the difference between fantasy and reality. Im not saying fantasy cant become reality one day, but as Ive said a few times now..... shit aint real til its real.
