Yesterday I got woken up uber early by a friend asking if Id go with her to Kankekee to drop of her cousin at the train station so she wouldnt have to make the trip alone (its about an hour drive one way) so I said sure. Along the way home we were talking and she had asked if I would be interested in going to classes since Ive been laid off and theyre taking their time hiring back everyone. I said sure why not, what else am I gonna do?
So today I walk into the college about a mile from my place and ask about classes. Next thing I know, Im joining up for massage therapy, they looked at grants and stuff like that for me, and outta a $25,000 class all I'll have to pay is less than $5,000 if I decide to go through with it. So FINALLY a lil luck came my way.
I havent been inside a class room since 93, so I dont know if Im nervous or excited about it. But hopefully this will work out for me, cuz right now my options are really becoming limited as far as finding work, and they offer job placement with a 98% rate.
