Woo's blog: "Steph's Musings...."

I'm pretty sure I'm a terrible person. I do, say and think things on a daily basis that would probably make the devil blush. But right now, I'm sitting here annoyed by the health care system in this country. Everyday I get people at my desk that don't speak any English, but are offered free health care through the government. Meanwhile, a tax paying citizen comes in here with no insurance because they make too little to afford it, but too much to get insurance through the state. I try not to, but I get infuriated everyday by this. Why as a society do we allow middle class folks become so indebted because they can't afford healthcare? Or we allow people to go untreated because they don't want the bill? Or, our deductibles/copays are so high that we avoid going to the doctor because we can't pay that, or because we can't see paying 35$ to sit in the dr's office for 10 mins...And yet we bitch about things like gas.
