Left to protect herself once again.
She doesn't understand,
Why love never lets her win.
Each time it happens,
The wall gets higher,
The concrete stronger.
It's at the point,
That she doesn't give a damn.
So long by herself,
Why let anyone in.
Risk it all to have love,
Only to have it turn out to not be love at all.
Just a way to use her,
Abuse her,
Have her be the means to the end.
So she takes each day as it may come,
Knowing giving up on love,
Doesn't make it right.
Life is easier without it there,
No worries or pain from a broken heart.
Yes, she knows it doesn't make it right,
To give up on love,
Just let it be.
