anyway, so we got to palm desert which is where my mom and eileen stayed the night before. i got the pullout couch which was a couch by day and a bed by night. i wanted to read my book for awhile but eileen and my mom convinced me to put on a bathing suit and get my ass to the pool which was SOOOOOOOOO COLD. the funniest thing tho was when mom got into the hot tub and THEN got into the pool. her facial expression at the shock of how cold the water was was priceless! eileen and i cracked up.
eventually we decided it was time to go eat or at least go wander in the direction of the restaurant we wanted to go to. i thought eileen was kiddin when she said it was a mile away. she wasnt kidding. but there were lots of cool stores along the way even tho the restaurant we wanted had a line, we enjoyed the walk. we ended up going to Tony's, an italian restaurant with the piano player/singer who butchered really good songs. he "sang" a few frank sinatra songs (it was funny to listen to my mom go "please dont sing please dont sing...he's killin the song"), and "georgia" as the ones i remember (plus "california dreaming"). my food was delicious but mom and eileen, of course, had a few complaints but they got over it. it was a fun restaurant.
the next day we went to a joshua tree preservation park. it was SNOWING...IT THE DESERT!!! it was crazy! you prolly dont believe me, but i SWEAR it was. it was amazing and we were just like "wtf?!"
the next day we went home and now i'm going to two other colleges. wheeee
