You know I dont blog much but when I come across ignorance in this day and age, I have to write about it. I recently received a message on myspace from an old high school friend. I havent talked to her in years and in high school we werepretty good friends. After exchanging a few messages, I sent her a friend request. I got a message back from her reading..."hey i want to talk to you but i dont want to be the only white person on your page call me my is 281-740-XXXX i have verizon. i am on the phone right now but will be off in about 30 minutes" I am like in total shock! I never thought she would be this kind of person to say such a thing. I also dont see what the damn difference is...why does it matter who I have on my page? For one, I have many "white" people on my page but wtf does it matter? I tried to reply but she set her profile to only receive messages from friends, no doubt to keep me from saying something. I cant beleive that still in this day in age, people still have issues with race. I am friends with everyone no matter the color. I mean I wanted to talk and catch up with her but really if this is her views, I could care less, no love lost! I am just soo pissed off about it!! Not only that its her but the ignorance!! UGH!
