Good Morning. Opening weekend of the NFL, for those that care that is…and it also starts the season off for those wonderful commercials again, for those that care. I loved Burger Kings spicy chicken sandwich commercial. Where the rooster is learning to control the force of his kick with a Zen Master. It’s too funny for words…you will have to look it up or perhaps view it. Very funny! This weekend also opens up the mass quantities of alcohol being consumed while watching games. You know, if it weren’t for alcohol the police would all be flocked around diners and donut shops…I know stereo typing at its’ best. But, here are a couple of News Briefs taken from happenings recently. If Not for Alcohol, Could Newspapers Exist?
Alexander Ocampo, 27, was arrested in Hilton Head Island, S.C., in July for DUI and for continuing to drive on even after his car had briefly spun out of control, oblivious of the fact that his passenger had been ejected through his open window. WKMG-TV reported in August the arrest of a man in Orlando "suspected" of drunk driving and who was pursued by police until he decided to get out and run for it. When police overtook him, he was still clutching a Corona beer from the 12-pack in the front seat of his car. [WKMG- TV (Orlando), 8-15-07] Come on drop the beer…step away from the Corona! Now!!!!
Like I said…the start of the fall football season brings out the best and worse in people…hopefully it does not affect anyone seriously.
