this dude was my hero from youth--i got jethro tull's 'thick as a brick' for my 14 th b'day--i spent a year in 1998-1999 searching for their entire back catalog. but mr anderson lost his hair and most of his voice. we neede a new rock flute player--yeah--i'll try it--i got respect from hours of spending time with a 40.00 rusty flute and 100 yr old method book in the cprner of a trailer in 2001 after my house burnt down.i wanted to fuse the flute w/punk to take sir ian's vision to another level--had many songs tributing him as well as covering 'war child' up to me' one brown mouse' locomotive breath etc.
in 2004--the A.M.G. added a page on me--one of the 'similar artists' to me was jethro tull--i was thrilled--i e-mailed ian anderson--again--and again--and again--i guess it wasn't as exciting for him. on 8/10/2007 he turned 60--happy birthday mr anderson
