She came to me this morning ,
Tears in her eyes ,
Lord knows I hate ,
To see that woman cry ,
She said he finally left her ,
She said its just not right ,
and she hated to go home ,
Could she stay the night ,
Siting drinking beside her ,
Was the hardest thing ive ever done,
She talked about forever
And how she thought he was the one,
I wish I was that guy,
The one that held her tight ,
I wish she came home to me,
Id never let her out my sight,
And so it went on ,
Drink by drink ,
The more she talked ,
The more I had time to think ,
I remembered years ago ,
When she said she cared ,
I told her we were friends,
and Id Always be there,
Now Im starting to wonder ,
If thats whats ment to be ,
Im sure shed never listen ,
But any fool can see,
I wish I was that guy ,
The one that held her tight,
The one whos child shed carry ,
and we plan all out right ,
