Blessed I have been...
For I've been given the gifts,
of sight, hearing, holding, walking,
...and speaking
These are all I have,
...all I will need,
on this perilous journey
Where lessons will poison my ignorance
In which pain and joy lie dormant,
within every strangers being...
Storms will challenge hope
Darkness will persuade me
from the light
I will fall...yes I will
Many times...
Although my legs may become broken,
rivers cascading from my eyes
I refuse to drown in self pity,
from being mentally distant
To live...learn...and be set free,
Born I was to make mistakes
So with these God given gifts,
my journey will continue
For I was never meant to be
prepared for the fall
...but for the rise
