I've spent 3 years in the active duty military. the first 6 months between basic training and technical school, then a combined 1.5 years in the desert. The few relationships I have given an attempt at have all ended because the girl cheated while I was away.
Upon arrival at my first duty station, I went to a going-away gathering to see off a team of guys leaving for Kuwait. As soon as they loaded the bus and it took off out of sight, all the wives and girlfriends that were there to see their loved ones off turned around and starting flirting with the guys left behind. This disturbed me from the start.
I've seen countless divorces happen while in the desert, even more breakups because of cheating.
So here's the question up for discussion:
Why does it seem that there are a small handful of women out there who can keep their legs shut for 6 months to a year for deployment? Is the world that shallow these days that love won't carry you through?? |
