i wake up, my eye lids singed shut
my flesh is burning, tormented with desire
my skin blistering from the heat
i feel so unloved and so much alone
the air smells of pain, tear soaked misery
the wind blows lashes across my back
the heat goes on
i gasp for air as my lungs fill with pain
i reach for the heavens and receive more of the same
my heart barely beating, so weak and frail
this is a glimpse of my personal hell
i tear open my eyes so that i may see
what torment and pain is confronting me
the sky's still blue and the grass growing green
nothing on fire as far as can be seen
my eye focus in and to my surprise
the pain that i feel is coming from your eyes
you said you would always love me
till the end this be true
until the day you met him
and took my heart with you
