California Love's blog: "I Me My"

SO, the sunshine is finally out, and the temps are in the 50's here in Omaha..its T-Shirt weather!! Unfortunately, I have realized that most of my Tshirts are fitting tight on me. Not from going to the gym, which I havent done in like 6 months, but from the "winter weight" I packed on huddling inside work and my apartment hiding from the snow...and the Tombstone pizzas and homemade nachos probably didnt help much either.. I went to get my end of winter check up (I get two physicals a year paid for by insurance, might as well use them), and after filling out the form on the clipboard, I was asked to step up on the scale, which for some reason reminded me of having to stand up to the "you must be this tall to ride" sign, and I actually got hit with a twinge of anxiety about it...it proved right. The numbers kept climbing, like some crazed Price Is Right game, until finally resting on a number that I was hoping was in the metric system... 196 Yep...196 pounds...I got over 200 once when I was but a young buck back in San Diego, but thats when I had first discovered the wonders of beer and all you can eat steak.. but havent been past 185 in years.. 196...would be a good bowling score ... So, I am on a mission to thin down so I dont look like I need to be painted blue and rolled out of Willy Wonka's invention shop down into the juicing machine... Im gonna miss those pizzas and KFC and nachos... Update coming in April

yeah, i know...i havent been here very much the last few weeks...here's the rundown of whats goin on... My little girls mommy is getting deployed to Iraq, but she wants Audrey to stay with her parents in New Mexico while she is gone. I dont agree at all with her decision, but since i have no legal rights (she isnt mine biologically...biology sucks) i dont have much of a say...SO, because i dont want to sit around for 6 months out here in the snow and ball shrinking cold, i decided to keep myself occupied by picking up a 2nd job...I figured at my age, the best thing to do would be a WalMart greeter, but Audrey liked the idea more of her daddy working at Target. So that's where i am nights and weekends.... The weather is starting to turn really cold here, and that means that it is getting busy at my day job at AAA again. I dont know what it is about people, but its usually a good idea to check your antifreeze BEFORE your car starts getting coated in ice...and stop driving through snow. Funny thing about snow, you lose a lot of traction, and have a tendency to get stuck... so i dont get a lot of fubar computer time at work anymore, and since im not home much either, i havent been around here...please dont take it personal if you havent heard from me, its not that i dont care...its that i cant stay awake ;-) take care everyone, hope your holidays are fun, and everyone makes it through in one physical and emotional piece.. mikey

Ive started working day shift again...my vampiric tendencies of working overnights have left me pale and my eyes hurting from the glare of the sun..at least i didnt burn or melt... happy with this new change. I 'll get to see my little girl more, although it also meant a slight pay cut, but its worth it... SOO, i will be changing from my habit of coming on here in the middle of the night to being on here at a "normal" time now, if i can just stay awake past 1pm, i should be ok
