My sincerest apologies to all my dear friends...
I'm not quite sure what happened, but as soon as Eugene left for his job down south, things got a bit screwy here. Apparently I have "electrical imps" running about because not only did I wake up to find my comp clicking away one morning last week in the eternal loop from hell, but Eugene's computer also gave up the ghost.
He was setting it up even though he had no access to the internet at the location he is staying but wanted to work on some of his thesis and document his work in the field. Looks like the C: drive has a problem with the windows/system32 file and needs to be re-installed while I am attempting to recover his data and pics.
I on the other hand - am fracked!!!! I believe I fried my CPU (An AMD 64 Dual Core Processor - OUCH)! Thank goodness I have a few other hard drives and spare computer parts and was able to find one that already had windows installed. Oh the fun of updates and drivers, swapping out pieces parts to get the fracker working so I can communicate with the outside world.
So here I am, trying to get both comps up and running and lo and behold, another day in the life - Eleanor is now bed-ridden and needs constant care like an infant (yes - including "diaper changes" and constant linen washing and feeding every 4 hours).
On top of all this - a very dear friend of mine who runs Camp Sister Spirit in Ovette, Mississippi is having to deal with some Jackson Mississippi PPD issues and defamatory remarks that are simply rumors and nothing else.
I do apologize for not being around and responding to all the love in my absence and shall try to get to everyone that I so dearly missed.
I hope everyone's Labor Day holiday went well, was happy and safe. Miss you all and will be in touch real soon!
