So I recently (this week) started a new job and I closed tonight (at midnight) when about 10 minutes before I'm ready to close I get a phone call from I assume my boss (sounded like him and he said it was) asking me to wait about 10-15 for him to come by because he had to pick one of his tools up. So like any good employee I did. Then about 10 minutes later I get a call from someone who wasn't my boss (I think it was his cousin [who happens to be someone I've been told not to trust on numerous occasions]) asking me to put a box of tools on the roof (see where I'm going with this). After I did that the handyman comes in asking for my boss. He waits around with me until almost 12:40 (a full forty minutes after I am supposed to have gone) Finally I relay the two phone conversations to him and we come to the conclusion that I was duped by the cousin. So I left to go home not before leaving my boss a note just in case it was him who called and if it wasn't him he knows what happened. But know I feel stupid as hell for being tricked and am worried if this will jeopardized my job. Plus on top of all of this I need to be up in about 4 hours to get ready for school.
