Last night I cried until I slept

Alone on our bed I wept

Because you have gone away

To serve our country so far away

I’ll miss you the whole time you are gone

And I’ll cry on the day you return on

These will be tears of happiness

For I will be overcome with joy, I must confess

Tonight I will cry until I sleep

But I will not be alone as I weep

Because this time you are home with me
