Okay….this is a story worth recording if only for the amusement I’ll get out of reading it later on in life.
I called in sick to work yesterday and spent the day sleeping. That was probably good for me.
When I came in this morning I saw the copier in pieces with a note on it that the repair guy would be coming later today. There was black toner everywhere, including on the carpet.
I remembered that on Wednesday the machine had said he toner was low but since it was still working I didn’t change it.
For those of you who don’t know I’m the one that is usually called on to change the toner, the drum, fix paper jams, fix computers and so on. No problem usually. It takes me all of maybe 2 minutes to change the toner in our copier. Take the new toner out, shake it, pull the old one out and put it in the box, put the new toner in and the pull the plastic tab as it goes in so that toner doesn’t spill. That’s it. The instructions are on the machine and on the toner box. Simple, neh?
Judging from the mess that I saw this morning I guess it wasn’t. I got the full story from Jan how almost everyone tried to fix it, how the toner went everywhere and how they finally gave up.
So the copier guys gets here and sets to fixing it. Greg (the boss) shows up and looks at it all and says, “What happened to the copier?”
About 4 different people said, “Juliette wasn’t here.”
I laughed. I couldn’t help it.
