Jilly's blog: "hubby's job #2"

Hi all I hope that your Monday was a good one. Mine is been OK. I have to wait til next Monday for our paycheck. A little frustrated at hubby's company right now....... Darryl got a log book violation ticket, which turned out to be 162.00!!! Well on expecting of the truck by the D.O.T. there was a leaky line on the trailers. The company was supposed to pay for that.... well they didn't! They paid for it, but are now taking out $97.00 out of each paycheck until it is all paid off! Darryl's truck was having problems with the gages, so they were gonna get it fixed this weekend. They had to order a part for it, which turned out the be the wrong one, so they are working on it this week. Well with the gauges messing up, his odometer was all messed up.. so he was going to talk to the boss, Warren about getting paid for the miles he drove, not the ones that were on the odometer. He went into the office and found out that the boss and his assistant, Phil had taken a trip to Las Vegas! Now explain this please...... You don't have the money to pay for a ticket that is your responsibility, but you can go on a freaking trip to Las Vegas! Come on....... These people don't have a clue on what they are doing! If any driver gets a ticket on any part of the truck, or if they get hit, or there is damage on the truck, then the driver has to pay for that out of their paychecks. They don't pay for leave if the driver's wife is having a baby, they don't pay layover fees, mileage bonuses, NOTHING!!!! They don't pay the driver for anything that they do except the miles, and sometimes that is even shortened. All the trailors that they have are falling apart, have leaks, or are just so messed up that the shipper won't load them, and occasionally you get one that has expired tags, or out of state tags! I just don't get how this company is still in business. I'm really frustrated right now....... they don't get that when they take money out of our paychecks to pay for the stuff THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO they are taking it of our mouths! We only get paid twice a month........ barely making it paycheck to paycheck, and most often Darryl has to take what money we have left for the road, cause they don't give the driver's any money right before payday! I just am getting sick of dealing with this company each and every month, it is something new with them. They don't have their priorities straight! Hi all, I hope you are all having a good evening. Darryl left for his delivery on Sunday, he left here on Sunday at 12 pm. Well he gets down to the yard in time to pick up his load on time, well the company loading the trailors made a mistake on one, so the driver had to come back, and get his trailor reloaded. Well that pushed Darryl's truck back, so after him getting there on time he didn't get loaded until after 3 pm, which pushed him back for the deliver time, but he got there and he was the first to get there so that's cool. Well when he got reloaded for the back haul, they loaded him over the limit, so he pushed back his tandems and all, still over the weight limit, so he got an over weight ticket!!! He gets back to the yard and his bosses has all kinds of choice words to say to him. That he needs to be careful, and watch how they load the trailor......... yet he did all that and it's still his fault that he got the ticket!! WTF is that. They paid for the ticket, and now he has to pay it back from his paychecks, so they are taking money out of his paychecks, yet they are bitching that they had to pay for this ticket. THEY ARE GETTING THE MONEY BACK!! DUH! So i am really ticked off that they are making this a huge deal, when they get everything they paid back into their stingy, fat, non caring hands! So we will see how long this truly lasts with this job. Our hopes are that he gets his degree in diesel mechanics so he can get a good job, be home every night, and we won't have to worry about stupid shit like with this company!
