Ok I get asked all the time so here we go:
Take a saluet pic as according to the guidelines:
Salute Guidelines
1. Go to the top left hand of your screen.Click the photos button.
2.Then click the album where ur salute is.
3.Right under the album title is a button" tag a photo in this folder as a salute" click it the screen will refresh.
4.Now scroll down to ur salute and you will see a red "salute" button click it and ur done :)
Note: it can take an hour or so to get verified :)
