There's this place I like to go to where none of the bartenders ever introduces themselves or asks me my name. They either call me sir, buddy or don't call me anything when they approach me. I don't know what their first names are but they do all treat me very well.
My question is, if I have to call out to get their attention, is it better to call out "excuse me" to get their attention or "Sir"? "Sir" sounds kind of goofy to me.
I don't ask what their first name is because I think they don't want to be on a first name basis with their customers (maybe this is a management thing) |
