The decloration of independance doesn't say Americans are equal and should be treated equal and have certain inalenable rights. It says people. People everywhere ought to have the right to have a trial by jury of their peers. Americans aren't better than other people. Some just don't give a shit about anyone else other than themselves.
What's next? Which other group of people's rights are they going to take away? Maybe the nonchristians? Maybe they think the constitution shouldn't apply to them. On our money it says in god we trust, so anyone who doesn't trust god, doesn't need rights maybe. Shit, how about we just go back to the kkk's philosaphy. This country was created by and for white christians. So fuck everyone else, they don't need rights. We weren't talking about slaves obviously when we said all people were created equall and had those inalienable rights. And those inalienable rights were " given to us by our creator" so what makes those people who don't think they have a creator think they have those inalienable rights???
How does this affect me? you might ask. Well, I'm kinda in the army, and they can do whatever with me. ( Other than the fact that I might develop a sudden obsurd attraction to guys ) I could end up in another country. I might end up in trouble in another country. They might think I'm a terrorist, or whatever, and decied hey, his gov tortures people, so it must be ok to torture him.... Well hey, fuck no!! it ain't. You aren't supposed to make defamatory comments towards your country when you are captured either. It's not honerable.... So I'm supposed to say " yah, it's ok to torture me, my country does it, and it's the right thing to do. Hook that batter upto my nuts, i LOVE that KINKY SHIT!!!!! "
The president doesn't have to worry too much about ending up like that in another country. So it's really easy to say, yah, I advocate tortureing people.
