I hide in this static shelter
Of emotional white noise
That cryptically destroys
Everything
I hope to be
For the heart I know to bear
For the love I feel you share
As the past sounds out
For fear of time
And well dressed lies
Dreams scream in agony
As I try to convince you
That I am feeling this too
But what I have been through
Is holding me back
Holding me down
In this trap of fear
