Well there was a discusiion on the radion about the UK either intergrating more with europe or becoming the 51st state of the US. Well for me it would make things a bit easier if we joined as the 51st state LOL. At least then when i visit, i don't have to wait with the rest of the non US citizens for ages to get through immigration. Seriously though, this is a big question bubbling under the surface, because we are part of the EU, some want full intergration and there is a big fight against it. There are good arguments for and against it, but i think the majority, and from what people I have talked to and from the media, its a no no area. People just feel the uk will lose its identity, though how i don't know. I mean the only way that could happen is if the people allow it.
I mean what would we become anyway, a mixture of french/german with a bit of spanish and dutch thrown in? Hell if I know and to be honest, it wouldn't bother me that much. Hell it may be better than some of the selfishness that seems to be around these days. I just have this feeling that everyone is out for themselves these days, and that can only mean that things can get worse.
