So, What's first? I go to write about stuff, and then I forget what I'm gong to write about.
Oh, status changes. I'm going to be asking questions and making fun of people. That's just what I do. Hopefully you aren't bothered by it.
Do people really feel it's that important to let the world know just what they are doing all the time? People uste to type in their name are that they were going to bed, and goodnight, or that they were working, or whatever. Now they have the nifty status updates. It announces to everyone on your friendlist when your status changes. Oh yay! Great for all the stalkers? lol. Some of the statuses people put in are kinda cute. I tried to put in something like " Fuck status updates " as my status. It didn't work. I'm not sure what the fuck I did wrong.
I'm not really one to talk though. I write blogs all the time, that's kinda letting everyone know just how I am incase they give a fuck. I do it for me. It's one of those release sort of things. " Therupy " or whatever. I write stuff dwon and get it ot of my system and sometimes it helps me feel better. Maybe the status changes have that same sort of effect for other people? Whatever makes people happy. I'm thinking it comes from all the people who've been on here for a while were jealous of all the attention the new people were getting when it announced they walked into the bar. Announcing status changes are a way for people who sign on and stuff to get that attention when they metaphoricly " walk into the bar. " They get to shout, " Hey, I'm here, look at me everyone! " Attention is fun though. It's good to make people happy. I am actually impressed with all the ideas that are put into this site. The creators seem quite brilliant for the most part. It's like they read a psychology book, then thought about all the different human motivations and such. Then they put all of that into a social networking site. I'm just upset they did it before I was able to. I'm thinking one of their next steps is to incorporate an rpg into this site. They could probably do it fairly easily with all the levels and features they allready have set up.
Next topic. Do people think they are being sneaky? Or are they just being nice maybe?
Sometimes people go through and rate my pictures, and I'm quite happy about it. It shows all who have viewed them recently. On some of them, there are more views than ratings. Maybe people didn't like the pictures, but didn't want to be " mean " and rate it low, so they didn't rate it at all. That's understandable, and atleast somewhat appreciated. Recently someone went through and looked at all, or most of my NSFW pictures, which are actually probably safe for work. I don't have any pictures showing all of myself. They looked at all of them, but didn't rate any of them. So the question is- why? The first answere might be that they didn't like them. If they didn't like them, why did they go through them all? Was it just a morbid curiosity to torture themselves? " I think it's repulsive, but I can't help but look at it. " sort of thing? Were they embarrassed that they were looking at those pictures at all, and didn't want to draw attention to it? Do they just not rate them because it doesn't give anyone points to do so?
