Here with me
I flourish my arms
sweeping and face the wind
burrowing my toes into the dune
I lift my face to the sun
and wish you were here with me.
Skip in a leisurely globe
my arms like wings I dash
across the beach the wind a siren
along my cheekbones.
I tumble to the ground
and twirl in the sand
wishing you was here with me.
I walk in the water to my knees
and plunge into the surf letting it
tow me under dousing away
all my fears.
I come up for air
my dress clings to my skin
and I wish you were here with me.
I know you have a magnificent entity
even though you are a little out of control.
You are so mellow it’s a stigma-
the night has you in its battlement
far away from me.
I wish you were here with me.
Run- Run . . . With my hands toward the sky
a smiles on my face even in this moment of conquering.
Where my heart is yours to strengthen, I am alive inside.
Even though you are not here-
here with me...
