Heavenly Peace
Now that he's in heaven
no more suffering will there be,
for GOD reached down and took him
then, finally setting him free.
I know he's with other loved ones
strolling hand in hand,
for his days of weakness are over
as he walks in the Holy Land.
He took a piece of us
when he passed away,
but from him we have the memories
that we can cherish everyday.
We will no longer see him
or hear his gentle voice,
even though it's our time for sorrow
it's his moment to re-joice.
We are gathered here together
to say our last goodbye,
and although he's no longer with us
his spirit will never die.
