My mom passed recently very suddenly with no warning and I'm barely coping enough to survive because I miss her so badly and just want to see her. I've been struggling with faith since I was 13. People keep telling me there's a heaven and I'll see my mom again.
I don't know what to believe. I'm a factual person so I need facts. There are none definitive either way as to the presence of god, heaven, hell, or an afterlife. But my mom was my best friend, my other half almost, and the thought of never seeing her again is unbearable. But I don't want to believe in an afterlife just to comfort myself that I'll see her. I want to know, which is impossible. My mom was Mormon and believed in heaven and that we'd see each other again. I'm not sold, nor am I Mormon.
What do you guys think? Is there an afterlife? Or was the viewing at the funeral home the last time I'll see my mother's red curls and beautiful features? |
