Here's my first Fubar rant! Are yall excited? Poor MySpace and LJ has put up with enough of em. Ready? Ready?
OK, now here we are. Mankind...21st century. I go and watch the news, read blogs and bulletins, and I see this society pretty much going to their own proverbial hell. Ummmm, yeah. Alright, as much as we pretend that mankind has progressed, look at the stats. As a tribal society, yes, we had wars. More wars probably than we have today. Yet said wars lasted about a day or two and then they were over. Done. The hunting grounds were established, like 3 people died....done. 10,000 years of this being all good. OK, "progress" to a governmental society. A few people thinking they can control thousands under one rule. This worked fantastically for a whopping year or so till folks saw that one group of folks could not possibly know what was good for a local buncha folks. Sadly, it almost worked enough that they decided that it was the best way to go. People don't matter, demographics do. End of the beginning of the end government rant for now, setting the stage for 1984. Next stage.
Tribal societies believed in their own faiths that encompassed their own beliefs and also accepted the beliefs of other tribes. Even the Romans accepted the religions of the people they conquered and built shrines to their Gods in Rome. Right around the same time, some jackass on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean decided that nobody else could believe what they wanted to and that everyone had to believe what their tribe did or die. Sadly, empirical governments caught on that this was a great concept to be able to mass murder people and get away with it moralistically. Next step in wrecking civilization. Another brick in the wall. Next stage.
Enter money. Ahhh, money and all it's sad trappings. I guess this introduces us to somewhere around the Eurasian 3rd century, the African 14th century, the Australian 19th century and the American 15th century. Travesty and ruin, but not yet on the scale we have today, yet the beginning of the end. So now people begin to judge people based on how much of this crap they have. Not on how much they contribute to the society, not on how good they are, not on how good of a person they are, but on how much money they can get. Mind you, to get more of a commodity, you have to get it away from others. This usually involves doing fucked up shit to others to get there. Nobody's gonna just give it to you, and working for it only gives you what you put in...therefore, to get ahead you have to fuck others out of what they earn. Put this on an international scale (19th-20-th century scale)...now you have entire nations fucking over "primitive" (....ie. pure and untainted tribal nations) and stealing all of their resources they need to live so they can make more money, then pretending they care (to fend off the few that still have something called compassion)by providing wee ass care packages and having Christian Children's Fund commercials about how these poor people are dying (because of our stealing everything they need to live that they did just fine with for tens of thousands of years). Hooraaaaaay for progress.
So yeah, I missed a LOT of stuff, but here's the general idea. Mankind started as being Polyamorous, Tribal, Pantheistic and honoured our Mother Earth, living in balance with Her. This worked from sometime around 100,000 years ago till about 3,000 years ago. Not a bad track record. Now here come a buncha self righteous assholes saying that living the way our ancestors did for time beyond time is wrong? These people are doomed to extinction, and those of us who can live a REAL life will survive to laugh at their rotting carcasses someday. They can criticize, condescend, patronize and name-call all they want. They will all be killed off by their own idiocy, and GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!
