I had planned on going into work today, but my plans have changed. We are in the midst of a Winter Storm Warning - the snow is really coming down! I don't mind lots of snow - what I do mind is the freezing rain and ice that will start this afternoon! Yuck! My three clients have rescheduled, which is just as well. I don't mind driving in snow; I hate driving on ice!! I can, but I don't like it, lol!
They are predicting 4 - 6 inches of snow, total, with about 1/3 inch of ice on top, lmao. What a mess that will be!!
Taylor, my 16 year old, has requested a Christmas tree this year, lol. No, we didn't decorate at all last year. It was a very odd feeling Christmas last year! I have a collection of Fontanini Nativity figures and buildings, etc. He has requested I set those up as well. Now, I love that set, but it is a pain to put up and take down. And the symbology is a bit different for me now that I am an Eclectic Pagan. But it still works! So, for my baby *snicker*, I will put up a tree and set up the Nativity.
Now I have to decide if I am going to bake cookies, or will I purchase them - that's what I've been doing since I was in school. There just isn't enough time for everything!! Maybe I'll make just a few batches of the favorites. My Mom will be doing lots of baking - she always does! But I make the best frosted sugar cookie shapes, lol. Yes, I am proud of my sugar cookies!! They are yummy! And Taylor loves gingerbread cookies, so I will have to make a batch of those. If I keep thinking like this, I'll be baking every spare minute I have until the Holidays and I can't do that! Ah, well. Bake some, buy some!
