ruining my writing! i just started "Mrs. Noggle #3" & i keep finding myself wanting to re-print old stuff or print stuff i wrote years ago that i never put in a zine. mainly becos i just rediscovered it & think it should be in a zine...some of the writings were intended for zine that i never finished. but i'm also finding it difficult to write about anything. my journal & zine used to be about my relationships & problems with my relationships. i don't even write in my written journal like i used to! becos now i am CONTENT! i'm in a happy & satisfying marriage & i have nothing to complain about!! i can't write when i'm happy!
so i'm trying to learn how to write better FICTION! i'm so used to writing about my life. i haven't written fiction since i was in school! i'm totally outta practice. so i am reading several books about fiction writing. & i'm also using writing exercises to improve my NONFICTION WRITING...so let's try it....
LOCAL BAND DRAMA: here is something that is none of my business but i feel compelled to mention it. there was this local called Fighting Bob. i very briefly dated the guitarist brian. (not even date really. we made out & well...we had sex a few times.) he completley took over the band ,changed the name & talked the other guys into kicking the singer out so he could sing. & buddyed up to this band called the goodbye session cos he thought he'd gain more popularity if his band played shows with them all the time--which they did.this was around the time i stopped seeing him becos he thot he was such a hot shot COCKstar & didn't have time for me...blah blah blah. jamie's band The Street Freaks played with them all the time & they always hated Brian. kyle told me brian was a "band jumper" & would jump from band to band cos he wanted to be in the more popular band. he'd ditch one band to join the more well known band. i found that to be true. & he was constantly riding on the coattails of When Sparks Fly & A Day In The Life(now Hawthorne Heights). i heard later that he ditched Fighting Bob (then known as The Summer Departure)to join another band after he had moved them all into a house in a different city to be closer to him. so that was the end of that band. brian went on to try to suck up to anyone in a popular band to gain fame for whatever band he was in at the time. & the bass player NICK THOMPSON (whom was always so nice to me--more so than Brian!) started a band with the guys from The Goodbye Session (they were also nice. especially Omar.) they started a band called Hit The Lights. & i didn't know until recently that they are all over the place & are kinda, ya know, FAMOUS!!! i had no idea cos i don't watch fuse or mtv or anything. i hadn't a clue until i heard that brian's wife was bitching about Omar's interview in AP & saying he didn't forget where he came from & she thought it was funny. WHY??? he's not the one that fucked everyone over!! BRIAN IS. all he ever did was walk all over anyone that he could to try to climb to the top & he never did get there. maybe he will someday but he's gonna hafta work hard for it. & stop trying to gain success from other people.cos brian is talented --he really is. i'm happy for nick. HE DESERVES IT!
there. that wasn't so hard. to choose a topic to write about & JUST WRITE. but then again that's just GOSSIP! maybe i should be a gossip writer! i'm just kidding. these people were only in my life for about a year so i dunno what has happened with them in detail. i'm just writing my opinion from observations from years ago..... it was just something on my mind!!!
