The Guardian Angel
A soldier sits all alone in his tent,
His thoughts and his mind are of home.
His eyes are close to this world,
A world that is not his own.

He thinks of his family,
His wife, his son.
To the home he left
When this journey begun.

Tears of sorrow roll down this soldiers face
He wipes them away
As he wonders,
How much longer do I have in this place.

A gentle breeze, passes him by
He wipes away the tears,
He hears a soft Angelic voice
Whisper in his ear

Be not afraid and do not cry
Never fear, for you are not forgotten
Your Guardian Angel
Is forever by your side.

To keep you safe from harm

Even when the days are dark
