My 17 yr old daughter, the last of my babies, is supposed to graduate next month. The school is denying her right to walk simply because they don't want her to, basically. Hang on...it gets better (and this is a serious mumm). 2 yrs ago, when she first got braces, she had red hair (natural) and she has a learning disability because she was born without fluid in her brain. She was constantly bullied in school to the point that a senior, then, elbowed her in the stomach and mouth, ripping the inside of her mouth. My son and I repeatedly went to school but nothing was done to the kids doing the bullying. She carried a knife to school, NOT to use it but to intimidate the people bullying her. She got suspended when they found it during a bookbag search. She went to court, counselling and everything SHE was supposed to do and now, 2 yrs after the incident, they still won't let her walk on graduation day for fear of bringing a weapon to school. I talked to the school board and they just called me stating that THEY didn't want her to walk because they were scared she would act up. My question is should I get a lawyer and pursue this?
A. Get a lawyer B. Don't worry about it
