Yigaels Wall is out of San Francisco, California. The band has a record label with Reign Recordings. The band members are John, Vincent, Jan and Dan. Their debut album is Requiem For the Living. They have a new album coming soon, Emperor Castrato. Yigael's Wall plays thrash, but with an updated modern edge that keeps things from residing in the realm of mere oldschool worship, with a grinding, dirty guitar tone, thundering rhythm section, and savagely growled vocals. Of course, none of this would be meaningful if there wasn't quality songwriting to back it up. The Bay Area-flavored riffs have a bit of modern edge to them and vary nicely between midpaced and high-speed sections, while the long, melodic solos add an early '80s flair that helps change things up. Drum and bass performances are similarly capable and driving.
