The reason for the law that makes us wait until 18 to vate is that we are olod enough to know what we want. In the past 20 years especially, the government has been pretty consistant on giving the opposite of what we want. Check the poles in general for what the majority think is best for our country, versus how congress and the House of Reps vote on the same issues.
You see, I, a common person, am not just telling you how to think on this subject. I'm telling you to check the facts for yourself. Even, if I was to give you an example here and now, my example would be of an issue that is near to my heart, and not necessarily yours. Politicians should take an example from this.
It's like a rock concert. You could advertise "Ozzy Osbourne" live. Then 30,000 people show up to see that it's actually Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd puts on a very good show, but the people there came to see Ozzy, therefore 25,000 of them will likely ask for their money back.
Politicians know that we can't take our vote for them back. Therefore, they tell people what they want to hear, then fall short shortly after election day.
