So I'm in my hotel room in Columbus, Georgia. I have a grad school interview tomorrow. I'm so nervous and so excited. I'm going to dinner tonight with the current fellows in the program and the director.
By that way, I'm in the Hilton, lol. It's quite swanky.
On the flight from Atlanta to Columbus there were 12 rows of 4 seat each. Of all those seats, 3 of us were non-military. And besides the female flight attendant, I was the only female on the flight. And let me tell you, mmmm some of them army boys were looking fine. But it was just my luck that of all the army guys on the flight I had to sit next to some old guy. Ugh, that kinda sucked. But I had some nice eye candy in the airport and on my connecting flight.
OH, and while I was waiting in ATL this older gentleman in a wheelchair was being taken to the elevator to be taken down to load the airplane. And he looked at all the troops and gave them a thumbs up and said, "God bless you all." Most all of them looked up and smiled and quite a few said thank you. It literally brought a tear to my eye. Most all of these kids didn't look hardly a day over 18. It made me think of that kindness campaign video. -sigh-
Well, I'm going to lay down on my huge king size bed and watch some tv before dinner. Wish me luck tomorrow. This is the program I have been wanting to get into since junior year!! Tomorrow is the most important day of my life thus far.
