Good -verses- Evil opps.jpg Good -verses- Evil A daily struggle. A battle of biblical proportions. -or- Is it just another part of life? I believe that much of the population has come to terms with the most simple part of the meaning of life: That DEATH is just part of life. Yes, folks ... We are all TERMINAL! We have an expiration date ... We just don't know when we are going to exspire. I do believe the human race as a whole has come to terms with that part of living ...er - umm - ahh -or- Dying? About that part in-between "The Beginning" and "The End" is my topic today. The things we do while on this earth and the decisions that we make. I promise I'm not getting on my soapbox and spewing up "Fire and brimstone" *shakes head ... "Yeah, I'm not keen on "preachy" peeps either"* Doing the right thing is as much of a daily part of life as well as life changing parts. Daily parts like: It's so nice out, I think I'll play hooky ... Telling the phone solicitor that YOU are not at home ... Making up an excuse for not helping a buddy out at moving furniture ... Telling anybody that ITS 'done' -or- you'll 'DO IT', knowing it 'ISN'T' or you have no intention of 'DOING IT' eh, little things like that on the small scale. So, you know when you look in the mirror ... magda27ath.jpg You still like what you see. You can be a little dishonest and still feel guilt free. Then there are more 'mid-scale' things that happen, not a daily occurrence ... but may weigh heavy on your thoughts. Things like: Forgetting a loved ones special day. Telling a flat out lie to protect you or a loved one. Opening the car door too wide and dinging the car next to you. These things may be bothersome and make you feel guilty, more so if you are CAUGHT doing them though. You still can look at the reflection -- but it may or may not haunt you ... BaybieGirlr.jpg Then there is the proverbial forks in the road - The Life changing moments ... These should make everyone ashamed. They happen so quick and I'm sure hindsight is 20-20, but foresight is blind. Who knew, back when you were a teeny-bop; That: That first cigarette could cause so many problems down the road. Shoplifting the condoms would come back to haunt you in a job interview 7 years later. Drinking mass amounts of alcohol and driving ... I count my blessing on that last one. I had friends kill and be killed due to drunk driving. I've even woke up and hurried to the window in a panic wondering -IF- I recently read in the paper about one of my friends of my age ... that should have "lived and learned" by now. She had over a half of a bottle of rum and numerous shots and beers. She DROVE! Not only did she drive, she drove other people - oh and she also drove -- THREW A HOUSE!!! A HOUSE! She'll live, and NO ... luckily the room of the infant that she plowed into didn't have the baby in the crib that she smashed. She will recover ... lets hope the next time she looks in the mirror ... G-v-E.jpg She remembers!
