The eleven fashion talents of 2015 showcased their collections for a/w15 at Berns on the first day of Fashion Week in Stockholm. The talents have been chosen by an expert jury and vary from mens- and womenswear to jewellerybrands.

Isabella Idberg’s signature looks with hoodies and clothes inspired by “street culture” were the first ones out on the runway. Idberg’s designs have already been worn by numerous Swedish artists, like Veronica Maggio and Laleh.

Emelie Janrell’s collection was balanced with sophisticated clean lines and fun details. Janrell’s designs are made-to-measure and made at an atelier in Stockholm.

Inez-NY showed a minimalistic and elegant collection made of natural materials. Her inspiration is, of course, nature and she works closely with the Swedish Hunters’ Association. Inez-NY has already gained worldwide attention by being nominated for the CFDA, Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Freehistoric, one of the the two menswear brands showed a collection mixing traditional craftsmanship and contemporary details. The designers behind the brand have both been active in Italy, working for several fashion houses before founding their own brand.

Sofia Eriksson’s beautiful golden jewellery is minimalistic and luxurious. The inspiration of geometry and architecture is evident. The collections are not seasonal and in addition to her own brand she also does collaborations, one recent collaboration was with Rodebjer.

Arethé Stockholm showed a collection full of luxurious materials, minimalistic shapes and wearable clothes that fit from day to night. The brand has already been recognized in Sweden in various competitions. The collection feels very wearable, feminine and sexy, in a subtle way.

Wdee draws inspiration from sports and kitsch creating a maximalist collection with loud prints and different textures and materials. One of the prints, a screaming Mother Mary, is to represent the feminist revolution. A fun detail in the show: small colored lights on the ears, like shining earrings.

Märta Larsson, one of the two jewellerybrands featured beautiful pieces in different materials such as quartz and amethyst. The collection was partly inspired by lapland and the feeling of wild nature was notable throughout the whole collection. Each piece by Märtha Larsson is individual.

MLTV Clothing, showed a modern menswear collection with clean lines yet interesting details. MLTV Clothing challenges the classic pieces by rethinking them in a contemporary way.

Teotoki does a modern twist on the retro jumpsuit in different colours. The jumpsuit was inspired by the designer’s mother’s old jumpsuit that she used when she visited Studio 54 back in the late 70′s. The brand has already been recognized around the world, named as one of the up and coming “style stars to watch” by W Magazine.

Simon Ekrelius used a mix of different materials and cuts to create a beautiful collection inspired by architecture. Ekrelius has already collaborated with numerous artists and companies.
