Friends

Sometimes in life, we cross paths with people that we think are true and genuine. We begin to share with each other and make an attempt to get to know each other and start to form what we think is a friendship. We laugh with them. We ask questions to find out about them. ANd we think we're really forming a true friendship. Soon we find out that the person we thought we were getting to know is not who we thought they were at all. I'm not sure how serious you all take your friendships but I myself take mine very serious because trust is not something that is easy for me to do. So when I find out that I have been lied to or find out that the person I thought I could trust isn't who they say they are, it kind of hurts. I guess I feel like they think I needed a sympathy friendship. Kind of like, well she's not as pretty as most girls, or she's a fat chic, so I'll pretend to be her friend cause I know most people won't take the time to befriend her. Well, one thing I can't stand is sympathy of any kind. And my TRUE friends know this. See, when I start to trust someone and they break that trust, it hurts me. Trust doesn't come easy for me at all. And what people don't realize is when they do things like this, they make it harder on the next person that comes along. You begin to wonder if anything that they ever told you was the truth or was it all lies to begin with. Do they even know what the truth means? Yeah, I know we all get busy with real life. Family, jobs, school, etc., but when you start a friendship online, and then you're online several times a week, at least take the time to drop a comment or a message just to say hi and let the person know you're ok. See, that's what friends do. They care about each other. Personally, if I don't see one of my friends online for several days, I begin to wonder if everything is ok, because my friends matter to me. If for some reason you decide you don't want to be friends with a person, at least be man or woman enough to tell them why. Don't just ignore them and pretend they don't exist. That's they pussy way out. If I did something wrong, tell me so I can learn from it. Again, that's what real friends do for each other. They help them be better friends. I have met some awesome friends online over the years and I would not trade them for anything in the world. Some of them I have met face to face and some of them, I may never get a chance to do that with. Either way, I consider them REAL TRUE friends. Those friends know that right now I am going through an ordeal that is taking A LOT out of me and everyone of you have been there for me. Rather it be just to listen to me whine and cry, offer advice, make me laugh or whatever, you're there, and I will never be able to express what that means to me. Thank you for being my friends. And to the people that don't take friendship seriously, or don't know what real friendship is about, let me know. I'll give you the names of some of my kick ass friends and I'm sure they would love to give you some pointers. I hope you all have a great week and no matter what, I care about you all!!! Lots of love, Mary
