| I recently reconnected with an old friend after not seeing her for almost 9 years. The last time I went by to visit her, she lit up a crack stem....and it upset me so badly that I had pretty much made up my mind never to see her again. She knows how her drug use hurts me...and how much she has lost because of it. She knows my sister lost her life to it. So I have stayed away from her until she gets clean. Well...I have been visiting her and she appears to not be using anymore. I even took my kids by to see her, and she was so happy to finally meet them that she cried. My question is....should I continue to reach out to her, and pray she has stopped using for good? Or should I remain cautious and keep her at arms length? We were very close...like sisters...even lived in the same house...but today she has never been to my house nor knows where I live. What do you think? |
