I've been a Queen fan since I was just a young boy. I grew up in a HUGE rock n' roll family - uncle had a band, I grew up playing the drums by age 3, guitar by age 7, piano by 9, violin by 12 - I have a musical influence deep in my heart - and Freddie Mercury was always someone I respected GREATLY. That guy was so incredibly talented. I mean, one in a billion. NOBODY could sing, and bring operatic rock to the forefront like he did it. I knew he was gay years ago, but I didn't know how much he struggled with it until I saw that Bio last night. Ya know, it's sad to think that someone so great had to hide who he was for fear of the world rejecting him. I'm not gay myself - I DO love my women (LMAO), but damn, man...I have several gay friends - men as well as women - and I just think that you gotta be who you are. Happiness is king. In any event - I'm putting up a drink to Freddie this weekend. I never got to see Queen live - and as time goes by, I wish like hell I could have..........
