Should The NFL tack on four more weeks to the Regular Season?
Now:
6 Divisional Games
4 Games against another Conference Division (ie: N vs S, E vs W)
2 Games against 2 Conference Opponents
4 Games Vs 1 division of other conference (AFC vs NFC)(N/S/E/W)
16 regular Season Games
Add on:
2 Games Vs 1 division of other conference (North/South)
2 Games Vs 1 division of other conference (East/West)
NFC East Division Plays AFC North in 08, they would also play 2 teams from divisions they did not play the previous Year ('07), AFC West, & south.
More Interconference Games would increase competitive nature, decrease Stagnation of last 4 games of season for top Seeded teams.
The Players would be taxed more physically, endurance will be further tested, no doubt. It would also increase the value of being competitive and raise the importance of interconference competition. and a Winners in the end would value the championships even more so than now.
