Postpartum depression affects many women after giving birth, I have had the experience and its terrible. i had heard that in some contries they dry out the placentas and eat some of it because it is enriched with estrogen and such and has a rep of helping avoid PPD. Would you eat your placenta to avoid PPD and more or not?

Men if you want to have a say in this, if your wife has/had PPD would you encourage her to eat placenta or not.
