Time seems to linger for an eternity throughout the day,
The nights even longer.....tossing....turning.....wasting away.
The guilt and the anguish eat at the soul like malignant tumors,
Truths cannot be reached before they are consumed by the rumors.
For the hurt that was created by two fools,
Selfishly dancing in the lust-pools.
Too foolish to think of the other two hearts,
They were breaking into tiny fragile parts.
For this I will suffer for all of my days,
Regretting the carelessness of my ways.
Biting off every bitter day,
that in the bed I made, I will have to lay.
Tossing........turning........and wasting away,
In the torment I created at my own dismay.
One second too late to pull back the reigns,
On an action bound to cause heartache and pain.
The colors of life have faded for me,
left to contend with my misery.
I will always regret losing what I once cherished,
Because of my ignorance, this beauty has perished.
Dear God save me from this life I have created,
Save me from feeling so alienated!
My remorse is immense, my darkness so dense,
I cannot find the words to mense.
My actions so distant from my heart,
I can feel my soul falling apart.
Begging me to end it all,
For fear of where the pieces will fall.
