I live in a small country town, there is a huge lack of single men here. So question is how do I go about finding Mr Right (presuming he actually exists in the first place)?

I am sort of wary about venturing out into the big bad world of internet dating, seems a little scary, desperate and cheesy to me.. anyone had any experiences?
