So, I spent the day dealing with a plumbing problem in my house... it's a wartime house built in 1943, so the building materials aren't exactly to standards, then or now. It seems they used a gas pipe for a water line, and gas pipes have a larger outside diameter than a water pipe to accommodate threading, so plumbing fixtures don't fit. I spent hours reducing the size of the pipe with a file and sandpaper.
Bottom line, the job was completed, and I got a sudden yearning to go back to work, even if part time. I'm an Industrial Mechanic by trade.
Should I go back to work? |
