Time after time I get knocked down
will there ever be a time for me to shine
a place when my heart will be loved
a moment when my heart doesn't twist like a vine
Every man proves to be like the one before
in some shape or form hurting what's left of me
and every time I swear it will be the last
till I'm being told to keep on and not let it be
When I found one I thought was different
I put myself out there to see
but he ended up being like the rest
and proved there's no more trying for me
